The most beautiful valley in Dalat city

Being 5 km from the center of Da Lat city, Valley of Love is one of the poetic beauty spots and always attracts the huge number of travellers from different corners of the country and all over the world. Besides, Valley of Love is surrounded by Da Thien Lake and pine forests which are always green all year round. The tranquil Da Thien Lake, which was built in 1972, also makes the valley more picturesque.

History of Valley of Love

Among 1930s, the French called the place Valley d’Amour and it was changed into Valley of Piece by Bao Dai King.  Until 1953, the name Valley of Love appeared, for Mr. Nguyen Vy, chairman of Da Lat at that time suggested to change the French name into Vietnamese.

Tourist can climb to Vong Canh Hill by following either the hill rail walk or the stairs. Vong Canh Hill, in which travellers can have the most beautiful look at Mimosa flowers blooming every season, is one of the most beautiful places in Valley of Love. There is also Tieu Son Lam Flower-garden with great and old trees formed in spectacular shapes.
